Spain implements new regional health plans in Murcia and Madrid
The Region of Murcia has introduced its new Health Plan for 2026-2032, an investment of over 858 million euros aimed at improving public health and quality of life. A central pillar of this strategy is the integration of mental health across all areas of action. The plan also includes new strategies to address obesity, complex chronic care, palliative care, and adult immunization programs.
In the Community of Madrid, the regional government has authorized nearly 700,000 euros to enhance psychological support services for youth aged 14 to 30. This specialized service, which operates 365 days a year, focuses on preventing more serious mental health issues by addressing common concerns such as anxiety, sadness, and low self-esteem.
