Wizards of the Coast releases Magic: The Gathering Reality Fracture

Wizards of the Coast has released Reality Fracture, a new expansion for the Magic: The Gathering trading card game. Released on October 2, 2026, the set centers on the Echoverse, an alternate multiverse created by the character Jace Beleren.

The expansion introduces the Echoed Pairs concept, featuring two versions of iconic characters—such as Chandra, Ajani, Liliana, and Karn—representing how their lives might differ in the Echoverse compared to the traditional Multiverse. The set is Standard-legal and includes various product offerings, including Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, and Commander Decks.

In competitive play, the new cards are already impacting various formats. In the Standard environment, new tools are revitalizing older archetypes like Rakdos Lizards. In the Historic format, new cards like Roiling Canopy are being integrated into deck builds involving Primeval Titan.
