Maharashtra exam paper leaks prompt opposition rebuke of state government

Recurring leaks of competitive exam papers in Maharashtra, notably the TET exam scheduled for 28 June and recent NEET leaks, have drawn sharp criticism in the state assembly. Congress MLA Vijay Vaddetywar accused the government of damaging the state's reputation and jeopardising the futures of millions of students, urging a thorough investigation into the networks behind the leaks.

Vaddetywar highlighted that only three suspects have been arrested so far, while the alleged rackets involve agents and printing firms across multiple states, including the repeatedly mentioned "Crystal" company. He called for arrests of all conspirators, scrutiny of paper‑preparing agencies, and stronger safeguards to restore confidence in the examination system.
