Fifty-four pilgrims from Maharashtra have safely returned to Mumbai after being stranded in Nepal. The group had been traveling to Kailash Mansarovar when floods along the Tibet-Nepal border caused widespread destruction and disrupted travel routes.

The evacuation was coordinated through the Shiv Sena Help Desk in Nepal following directions from Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Shiv Sena General Secretary and former MP Rahul Shewale facilitated the arrangements after receiving a request for assistance from one of the pilgrims.

While the 54 devotees have arrived safely, concerns persist regarding other individuals who may still be missing or whose whereabouts remain unknown following the flooding and subsequent travel disruptions.
