The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 exam paper leak forced the state to cancel the test a day before it was scheduled. Police arrested three suspects in Bhivandi and claimed to have uncovered an inter‑state gang linked to the breach.

Abhijeet Deepak, founder of the Cockroach People's Party, condemned the leak as evidence of the central government's failure to ensure fairness in competitive examinations. He demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and launched a "Principal Go Back" campaign. Environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk joined the movement, and the protesters began an indefinite sit‑in strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.

The protest calls for reforms in the examination system and accountability for officials, urging students, parents, teachers and civil‑society groups to join the demand for the minister’s removal.
