Maharashtra weather alert: Monsoon rains expected from September 14
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an increase in monsoon activity across Maharashtra starting September 14, with rainfall intensity expected to rise from September 15. A yellow alert has been issued for several districts, including Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Pune, and Nashik.
Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds is anticipated in various regions, including Marathwada and Vidarbha. This weather pattern may provide relief to Kharif crops that have recently suffered due to a lack of rain.
In Ahilyanagar, local authorities are implementing micro-level planning to manage potential drought-like conditions caused by previous dry spells, focusing on water supply, tanker management, and livestock fodder.
