Maharlika Pilipinas Pickleball Tour launches 12 founding teams

The Maharlika Pilipinas Pickleball Tour (MPPT) officially unveiled its 12 founding franchises at a press event, marking the start of the league’s inaugural season. The teams represent cities and provinces across the Philippines, including General Santos City, Tacloban, Batangas, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, Rizal, Alfonso (Cavite), Camarines Norte, Pampanga, Bacoor, Bangued, and Abra.

MPPT founder and chairman Manny Pacquiao said the league aims to unite communities and give Filipino pickleball players a national platform, while CEO Joe Ramos highlighted the collaboration with partners and sponsors that made the launch possible. Commissioner Mark Espinosa also welcomed the new franchises and expressed optimism for the competition’s future.
