Mahindra expands XEV 9S electric SUV lineup with new 6-seater option
Mahindra has expanded the lineup of its XEV 9S electric SUV by introducing a new 6-seater configuration. This option replaces the standard second-row bench with individual captain seats, creating a 2+2+2 seating layout. The new configuration is available on higher-spec models, including Pack Two Above, Pack Three, and Pack Three Above.
The XEV 9S has become a top-selling electric vehicle in Mahindra’s portfolio, with recent monthly sales reaching 4,131 units. The vehicle features high-end technology such as a triple-screen dashboard setup, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and 5G connectivity.
In the competitive 7-seater electric SUV market, the XEV 9S competes with models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV. While the Mahindra offers larger battery options ranging from 59kWh to 79kWh and a more rugged SUV design, the Kia Clavis EV focuses on a practical MPV style with battery options of 42kWh and 51.4kWh.
