Mahindra launches 2026 Scorpio N SUV, with facelift slated for August
Mahindra & Mahindra introduced the 2026 Scorpio N, a new‑generation full‑size SUV for the Indian market. Built on a ladder‑frame chassis, it offers a 6‑ or 7‑seat layout, two engine options – a 2.0 L turbo‑petrol (203 bhp) and a 2.2 L diesel (132 bhp or 175 bhp) – paired with manual or automatic gearboxes and optional 4×4. The model features a larger touchscreen infotainment system, dual‑zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, Level‑2 ADAS safety suite and a 5‑star Global NCAP rating. Prices range from about ₹13.5 lakh for the entry version to ₹24.9 lakh for the top trim.
A mid‑life facelift of the Scorpio N is expected to debut on 15 August 2026 during a three‑day event in Mumbai. The update will keep the vehicle’s overall dimensions but add new alloy wheels, refreshed LED head‑lamps and tail‑lamps, a larger 10.2‑inch infotainment screen, revised interior trims and a panoramic sunroof. Powertrain offerings remain unchanged.
Both releases aim to strengthen Mahindra’s position in the Indian SUV segment by combining rugged capability with modern technology and safety features.
