Mahindra & Mahindra to Launch New SUV Line on NU_IQ Platform in 2027

Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to release two new SUV models built on its NU_IQ modular platform. The Vision S concept, a sub‑4‑metre SUV, is expected to enter production in late 2026 with a market launch slated for early 2027. A second model, the Vision SXT pickup‑style SUV, is aimed at a 2027 production start and a 2028 market debut.

The platform supports internal‑combustion, hybrid and fully electric powertrains, with both 2‑WD and 4‑WD variants and optional all‑wheel drive. Design details include boxy styling, circular LED headlights, a high roofline, and a digital cockpit. Pricing for the Indian market is projected between roughly 13.5 – 22 lakh rupees, positioning the models against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Mahindra’s strategy emphasizes platform reuse to lower development costs and offer flexible drivetrain options across its upcoming SUV range.
