Mahindra Thar facelift spied during final road testing

Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to launch a facelifted version of its Thar off-road SUV. Recent spy shots of test mules on public roads suggest the vehicle has reached production specification and is in the final stages of testing.

The upcoming facelift is expected to align the design more closely with the five-door Thar Roxx. Key aesthetic changes likely include a new front grille, circular projector LED headlights with C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and a revised front bumper featuring LED fog lights with a cornering function. While the side silhouette and rear spare wheel mounting are expected to remain similar to the current model, the vehicle may receive updated LED taillights and new 18-inch alloy wheel designs.

Interior and technology upgrades are anticipated to include a 360-degree camera, rear disc brakes, and front and side parking sensors. Cabin enhancements may feature a TFT instrument cluster, automatic climate control, auto-dimming IRVM, and ventilated front seats with perforated leatherette upholstery. Higher-end variants might also offer Level-2 ADAS as an option.
