Mahindra to launch XUV 3XO CNG on October 15

Mahindra has teased the upcoming XUV 3XO CNG, which is scheduled for an official reveal on October 15, 2026. This marks the company’s first factory-fitted CNG powertrain for its compact SUV lineup, positioning it to compete directly with the Tata Nexon i-CNG and Maruti Suzuki Brezza S-CNG.

Leaked details and teasers suggest the vehicle will feature a dual-cylinder CNG setup, which aims to manage boot space more effectively than single-cylinder arrangements. The interior is expected to include a digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof. A dedicated switch for transitioning between petrol and CNG modes has also been observed.

The CNG variant is anticipated to utilize the existing 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, which produces approximately 110 bhp and 200 Nm of torque in petrol mode. While specific power outputs for the CNG mode and official mileage figures remain unannounced, the model is expected to be offered with a manual gearbox. Potential variants include the REVX M and AX5.
