Mahindra XUV700 Becomes Australia's Cheapest New Seven‑Seater
Mahindra has reduced the price of its XUV700 AX7L by $5,000, setting a drive‑away price of $37,990 across all Australian states and territories except Western Australia. The discount makes the mid‑range AX7L $2,000 cheaper than the entry‑level AX7 and $1,000 less than the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max Urban, reclaiming the title of Australia’s cheapest new seven‑seat SUV.
The AX7L sits below rivals such as the Nissan X‑Trail (starting at $41,305) and Mitsubishi Outlander (starting at $42,540). It is powered by a 2.0‑litre turbocharged four‑cylinder engine delivering 149 kW and 380 Nm, paired with a six‑speed automatic transmission and a claimed fuel consumption of 8.3 L/100 km. Standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, 10.25‑inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen, 360‑degree cameras, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual‑zone climate control, ventilated front seats and a suite of driver‑assist features such as adaptive cruise control with stop‑and‑go, lane‑keep assist and blind‑spot monitoring. Mahindra offers a seven‑year, 150,000 km warranty and seven years of roadside assistance. The promotional price is valid until 30 September 2026.
