Maika Monroe to star in Victorian horror film Victorian Psycho

Actress Maika Monroe will star in the upcoming horror film Victorian Psycho, directed by Zachary Wigon. Set in Victorian England, the story follows Winifred Notty, a governess hired by the aristocratic Pounds family to educate their two children and manage their estate, Ensor House.

While initially appearing professional, Notty becomes a figure of suspicion as unexplained disappearances and disturbing events occur within the mansion. The film features Jason Isaacs and Ruth Wilson as the parents of the children. Monroe stated that the script stood out due to its specific tone and that the role offers a new challenge involving physical transformations and a specific accent.
