Mailza Assis claims polling lead in reelection campaign
Governor Mailza Assis (PP), a candidate for reelection, has challenged the accuracy of the Inteligov/EXAME electoral aggregator, claiming it fails to include the most recent Quaest poll. Her campaign highlights a significant upward trend in her polling numbers, noting that while the aggregator shows a narrowing gap with opponent Alan Rick (Republicanos), the latest Quaest data suggests a different scenario.
According to the Quaest poll released on September 25, Mailza Assis holds 36% of the voting intentions, leading Alan Rick, who has 28%. This represents a 12-percentage-point increase for Mailza compared to the previous August poll, while Alan Rick saw a 5-point decrease. In a simulated second-round runoff between the two, Mailza leads with 46% against Rick's 34%.
In a separate campaign activity, Mailza met with furniture industry entrepreneurs in the Industrial District. During the meeting, she expressed her goal of securing a victory in the first round and thanked supporters, militants, and the public for their engagement throughout her campaign.
