Main-Kinzig-Kreis expands mental health program for schools

The Main-Kinzig-Kreis is expanding its mental health prevention program, ‘Verrückt? Na und! – Seelisch fit in der Schule’, and is currently seeking interested school classes for participation.

Targeting students in grades 8 through 13, the five-hour program focuses on adolescent mental health. Led by experts from the Child and Adolescent Medical Service, the initiative helps students and teachers identify early warning signs of mental crises, learn personal coping strategies, and understand how to access professional support. The program aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues by providing a protected environment for open discussion and practical exercises.
