Brazilian celebrities declare support for Lula in 2026 election

Various Brazilian public figures have publicly declared their support for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva during the second round of the 2026 presidential elections.

Actress Maisa Silva shared her vote on social media, making a reference to her shared surname with the president. Singer Ivete Sangalo also cast her vote in Salvador, while influencer Rico Melquiades expressed disappointment over the election results, stating plans to move to Portugal.

Other notable figures including presenter Eliana and musician Max Cavalera have also voiced their support for the reelection of Lula against challenger Flávio Bolsonaro. In Maués, Mayor Macelly Veras emphasized the importance of democratic participation as citizens cast their ballots for both the presidency and state governorship.
