Major beverage companies celebrate milestones in Nigeria

Two major beverage companies in Nigeria are celebrating significant corporate milestones. Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Limited marked its 75th anniversary with a gala in Abuja. The event was attended by representatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, including Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, who commended the Coca-Cola system for its sustained investment in the country.

During the celebration, leadership from NBC and Coca-Cola HBC highlighted the company’s long-term commitment to the Nigerian market, which dates back to 1951. Officials emphasized that future goals include increasing local production, creating jobs, and strengthening domestic industries.

Simultaneously, Nigerian Breweries Plc has launched activities to commemorate its 80th anniversary. The company has initiated a nationwide campaign titled ‘Together, Every Moment,’ inviting citizens to share personal memories and archives that document the company’s impact on Nigerian communities, businesses, and culture since its incorporation in 1946.
