Major international trade fairs open in Varaždin and Zagreb

Several major international trade fairs are taking place in Croatia this October 2026. In Varaždin, the 29th International Fair of ‘Nature, Hunting, Fishing, Tourism’ has opened at the Varaždin Arena. Organized by Zelendvor d. o. o., the event brings together exhibitors and enthusiasts focused on nature and tourism. During the opening, local officials highlighted a nearly 5 million euro EU-funded project to revitalize the Drava Forest, which includes planting 20,000 saplings.

Simultaneously, the Ambienta fair is being held at the Zagreb Fair, featuring 139 exhibitors from 22 countries. The event focuses on furniture, design, construction, and sustainable energy solutions, including smart home technologies and solar systems. A notable initiative at the fair is the ‘StanZaSutra’ project, which features a fully equipped apartment replica provided by the City of Zagreb for youth participating in semi-independent living programs in collaboration with SOS Children's Villages Croatia.
