Major Summer Traffic Disruptions on Netherlands A27 Between Gorinchem and Everdingen

From 22 June to 3 August 2024, the A27 motorway in the Netherlands will be partly or fully closed between junctions Gorinchem and Everdingen for a widening project. Rijkswaterstaat has split the work into three phases: a one‑way closure from 22‑29 June, a full‑direction closure from 29 June‑17 July, and a one‑way closure in the opposite direction from 17 July‑3 August. Drivers are advised to expect 30–60 minutes extra travel time and to use detours via the A15, A2 or an alternative Rotterdam route. The project aims to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and cut through‑traffic in the Lekstroom region once completed.
