Makeup artist Pamela Lucarini joins Christopher Nolan’s ‘Odissea’ film set

Italian makeup artist Pamela Lucarini, a native of Lucca, returned from a career in Australia when she received a call to work on the set of Christopher Nolan’s epic film “Odissea”. She accepted a one‑day assignment in Greece that turned into a months‑long role, filming from February to June across locations such as the Greek islands, Iceland, Favignana and Lipari.

During the shoot Lucarini performed intricate prosthetic and makeup work, including removing tattoos from armor and creating the look of a cyclops character. She worked long shifts of 10–14 hours and collaborated with actors including Matt Damon, while observing the blend of practical effects and digital enhancement used on the production.

Her experience on the high‑profile project marks a significant milestone in her career, turning a lifelong passion for makeup into participation on a major international film.
