Malacky D2 Highway Branches Closed for Bridge Reconstruction

The Bratislava Regional Authority (BSK) announced that starting Friday 24 July 2026, the off‑ramps and connector lanes of the D2 motorway at the Malacky interchange will be fully closed for ten days while deep‑milling and a new surface are applied to the bridge crossing the highway.

The first stage runs from 20:00 on 24 July until 23:59 on 2 August, after which traffic in the main carriageways will remain open. A second stage from 3 August to 3 September will involve remedial works with only local traffic restrictions marked by temporary signs. Detour routes will be clearly signed, and regional bus lines 249 and 259 will be rerouted via alternative villages. Emergency services will coordinate with contractors for any necessary passages.
