Malatya Airport terminal expansion reaches 93 percent completion
Construction of the new terminal and supporting facilities at Malatya Airport has reached 93 percent physical completion. The expansion project aims to modernize the airport's infrastructure to meet increasing transportation demands.
Once finished, the new terminal will expand the facility's area to 26,765 square meters and increase annual passenger capacity to 2.5 million. The upgraded terminal will feature 18 check-in counters, expanded VIP and CIP areas, and 12 passport control counters.
Additional infrastructure improvements include increasing the apron area to 102,927 square meters, raising aircraft parking capacity to 13, and expanding the parking lot to accommodate 498 vehicles. The project also encompasses the construction of a heating center, connection roads, a treatment plant, and an apron barrier to ensure long-term operational efficiency.
