Erzurum hosts Turkey Culture Route Festival with 174 events

The Turkey Culture Route Festival has commenced in Erzurum, marking the city's fourth time hosting the event. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the nine-day festival features 174 activities across 11 different locations, including concerts, exhibitions, workshops, and theater performances.

This year's festival places a significant focus on gastronomy, featuring 39 specialized flavor points to showcase the region's culinary heritage. Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam noted that the festival aims to bring culture and art to the center of life for children and youth through various workshops in music, dance, and handicrafts.

As part of the festival, the ‘Hane’ Islamic Arts Exhibition, organized by the Albayrak Group and sponsored by Ziraat Katılım, opened at the historic Yakutiye Medresesi. The exhibition showcases seven centuries of Islamic art, integrating the theme of ‘home’ with the architectural spirit of the seven-hundred-year-old landmark.
