Malawi Scorchers face Cameroon in WAfCON 2026 final

The Malawi Scorchers are set to face Cameroon in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAfCON) 2026 final. This match marks a historic debut for Malawi, who advanced to the final after defeating Algeria 3-1 in the semifinals.

If successful, Malawi will become the second nation from the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) to win the WAfCON title, following South Africa’s victory in 2022.
