Malawian foundations provide major scholarships to university students

Two Malawian foundations have provided significant financial assistance to University of Malawi students facing economic hardships.

The Jane Ansah Foundation provided over K1 million in support to Kingsley James Tembo, a second-year Library and Information Sciences student from Mzimba. The assistance covers food, groceries, transportation, and school requirements to help Tembo, who has a short stature, focus on his studies without financial pressure.

Separately, the Apostle Hulda Kamanga Foundation awarded a K20 million scholarship to Nephtali Dickson, a Biological Sciences student. This scholarship is intended to cover his entire five-year degree, including tuition, accommodation, and upkeep. The foundation is currently supporting 15 other students as part of a broader mission to assist financially disadvantaged learners.
