Vietnam and Malaysia announce squads for FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026

National football teams for Vietnam and Malaysia have announced their 23-man squads for the upcoming FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026, which will be held in Indonesia.

Vietnam head coach Kim Sang-sik has selected a squad that maintains much of the core from the previous championship while introducing two notable overseas-born players: defender Nguyễn Adou Leygley Minh and 19-year-old forward Williams Minh Hoàng. The squad includes key players such as Nguyễn Hoàng Đức, Nguyễn Quang Hải, and Nguyễn Xuân Son.

Malaysia, under interim coach Tan Cheng Hoe, has also finalized its roster. The squad features several naturalized players, including Bergson da Silva, Brad Tapp, and Manuel Hidalgo, to strengthen the team. Malaysia is placed in Group A alongside hosts Indonesia, Singapore, and Bangladesh. The tournament is scheduled to take place from late September to early October 2026.
