Malaysia hosts Art of Speed and Japan Expo cultural festivals in 2026

Malaysia will stage two major cultural festivals in 2026. The Art of Speed (AOS) festival returns to the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park in Serdang (MAEPS) on 1‑2 August, expanding to a larger venue with a "Summer Festival: Custom Style" theme that combines custom automotive showcases, live music, street‑style fashion, and interactive activities. International custom‑culture figures from Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei, Singapore and the United States are slated to appear, and the event will feature vintage motorcycles, custom cars, and family‑friendly zones.

From 24‑26 July, Japan Expo Malaysia (JEMY) will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre as part of Visit Malaysia Year 2026. The three‑day expo, organised by Siam Connection and G‑Yu Creative, offers free admission and expects about 50,000 visitors. It will present Japanese food, travel, education, anime, cosplay, technology and performances, including shows by Japanese acts such as Atarayo and AKB48, alongside Malaysian artists. The event aims to deepen cultural and business ties between Japan and Malaysia.
