Malaysia launches regional National Month and flag-raising campaigns

Various regional initiatives are underway in Malaysia to celebrate National Month and foster patriotism through the display of the national flag, the Jalur Gemilang.

In Kelantan, the Malaysian Information Department (JAPEN) is intensifying its ‘One House, One Jalur Gemilang’ (1R1JG) campaign. The initiative encourages citizens to fly the flag at homes, businesses, and vehicles. As part of the ‘Ekspresi Jalur Gemilang JAPEN@PETRONAS 2026’ program, which is being held simultaneously at 15 selected PETRONAS stations nationwide, the first 200 vehicles at each station receive free flag magnets.

In Pahang, the state-level National Month and Jalur Gemilang Launch attracted over 10,000 participants to Raub. The event, officiated by Pahang Chief Minister Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, included a 2.7-kilometer brisk walk around the town and musical performances. Officials noted the high turnout from various districts, including Bentong, Lipis, Jerantut, and Temerloh, highlighting the community's interest in nationalistic celebrations.
