Malaysia ride‑hailing driver beaten by three drunken Myanmar passengers

A 60‑year‑old ride‑hailing driver in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, was attacked by three Myanmar nationals after he asked them to fasten their seatbelts. The assault, captured by the driver’s dashboard camera, occurred around 21:45 on 9 June in the Seri Yaacob industrial area of Skudai. The passengers, allegedly intoxicated, assaulted the driver both inside and outside the vehicle, breaking one of his teeth and causing facial injuries and bleeding.

The driver’s son, Kelvin Goh, posted videos and photos of the incident on Facebook on 10 June, urging other drivers to be cautious at night and calling for a police investigation. A police report has been filed, and the family is seeking strict legal action against the assailants.
