Malaysia to host major retail and travel trade expos in Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak

The ASEAN SHOP Smart Retail Expo will take place at the MITEC Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur from 10‑12 September 2026. The three‑day event will cover 30,000 sq m, feature 400 exhibitors and attract about 40,000 visitors. Exhibitors will showcase AI‑driven payment systems, vending and self‑service solutions, commercial refrigeration, service robots and other retail‑technology products aimed at the fast‑growing Southeast Asian market.

From 18‑20 August 2026, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Travel Mart will be hosted in Sarawak, Malaysia, at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching. The three‑day trade fair expects participants from more than 60 destinations and will facilitate over 10,000 pre‑matched business appointments between global buyers and Asia‑Pacific tourism suppliers. The programme includes a Youth Symposium, a Knowledge Forum, and a focus on regenerative tourism through sustainability initiatives at the venue.
