Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim honored in Kerala

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim visited Kerala, India, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit. During his visit, he attended a remembrance and prayer meeting at the Sunni Cultural Centre, which was attended by approximately 2,000 students and scholars.

In the presence of India’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abubacker Ahmad, Ibrahim was presented with the Sheikh Abubacker Foundation Excellence Award. He dedicated the honor to scholars, preachers, and scientists who work to promote faith and dignity. Ibrahim expressed his commitment to supporting educational and religious efforts in collaboration with religious scholars to strengthen ties between Malaysia and Kerala.

During a meeting with Grand Mufti Sheikh Abubacker Ahmad at Markazu Saqafathi Sunniyya in Karanthur, the Prime Minister also discussed the opportunities and challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically regarding its impact on faith, ethics, and intellectual freedom.
