Malaysian police kill drug syndicate leader and detain 21 in gang brawls
In a major narcotics operation in Seremban 2, a 52-year-old suspected drug syndicate leader was shot dead by police after opening fire during a raid on a house used as an MDMA processing lab. The suspect, who possessed chemical expertise and a criminal record dating back to the 1990s, was found unconscious and later died. Authorities seized 182.39 kilograms of MDMA, various processing equipment, three vehicles, and a revolver.
Separately, Selangor police have detained 21 local men following two gang-related brawls in Alam Megah and Seri Muda. One brawl, believed to be over territory, resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man, while the second, caused by a misunderstanding, left one person injured. Eight suspects have been charged with murder, and four others with causing injury. Police are currently searching for 10 additional suspects involved in these incidents. Seized items include machetes, hammers, cable cutters, and several vehicles.
