Malaysian Politicians Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and Razali Idris Announce Resignations

PBB information chief Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said he will relinquish his Asajaya state‑assembly seat if the party does not nominate him for the upcoming Sarawak state election, stressing that party interests outweigh personal ambition. He has served five terms since 2001 and previously held ministerial portfolios, repeatedly stating his willingness to step aside when required.

In Terengganu, Bersatu assemblyman Razali Idris submitted his resignation as state chairman to party president Muhyiddin Yassin and will also vacate his Marang division chief post in September, while remaining a party member. Fellow Bersatu officials Zawawi Ismail, Husaimi Hussin and deputy chairman Khazan Che Mat also announced they are stepping down from their information chief, treasurer and deputy chairman roles respectively.
