Mali army reports 37 terrorists killed in central and northern operations

The Malian armed forces announced that joint operations in the central and northern regions of Bandiagara, Kouakourou and Gourma‑Rharous killed 37 militants linked to the Jama'a Nusrat al‑Islam wal‑Muslimin (JNIM) and the Front de libération de l'Azawad (FLA). The army said it destroyed two armed vehicles, a large ammunition stock and several insurgent hide‑outs as part of Operation Dougoukoloko, aimed at securing the national territory.

In a related strike on 1 August, a terrorist base near Kouakourou was completely razed with no survivors among the occupants. The same weekend saw additional attacks on a militant gathering in Tessalit and a mining‑related site in Kidal, further weakening the groups' logistical networks.
