Malleco Province hosts XXVI Provincial Cueca Championship for seniors

The XXVI Provincial Cueca Championship for Seniors was held at the Municipal Theater in Angol, representing the Malleco province. The event brought together couples from various communes to celebrate Chilean national dance traditions.

José Toledo Torres and Elita Molina Verdugo from Angol secured first place and will represent the Malleco province in the regional stage. The second-place winners were Osvaldo Rodríguez Soto and María del Pilar Arriagada Alarcón from Renaico, followed by Miguel Fernández and Betzabeth Novoa from Los Sauces in third place.

The ceremony was attended by several regional authorities, including Provincial Presidential Delegate Víctor Manoli Nazal, Angol Mayor Enrique Neira, and Senator Miguel Becker Alvear.
