Malleco Province prepares for Provincial School Cueca Championship

The Malleco Province is preparing for the 2026 Provincial School Cueca Championship, which will be hosted by the Complejo Educacional Collipulli on September 10. The event will bring together young dancers from all eleven communes in the province to compete in various categories, celebrating Chile's national dance during the Month of the Homeland.

In preparation for this provincial stage, the commune of Traiguén has already held its local championship to select its representatives. Winners in the Cueca Campesina, Traditional, and High School categories will move on to compete at the provincial level in Collipulli. The competitions aim to strengthen cultural identity and respect for national traditions among the younger generations.
