Colombia and Chile to play friendly matches in November
The Colombian and Chilean national football teams will play two friendly matches in November 2026. The first match is scheduled for Friday, November 13, at the Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali, Colombia. The second match will take place on November 17 at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile.
Ramón Jesurún, president of the Colombian Football Federation (FCF), announced that all proceeds from the ticket sales for the match in Cali will be donated to support victims of the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck the region on August 10. The earthquake resulted in 331 deaths and caused an estimated $9.5 billion in damages, affecting approximately 400,000 people.
The return of the Colombian national team to Cali marks the first time the senior men's team has played in the city since 2008. Local authorities, including Cali Mayor Alejandro Eder, have welcomed the event, noting its dual importance as a major sporting occasion and a significant charitable initiative for earthquake recovery.
