Mallorca police arrest drug clan patriarch in major raid

A major anti-drug operation in the Soledat neighborhood of Palma, Mallorca, has resulted in the arrest of at least twelve people. Among those detained is 65-year-old Pablo Campos Maya, identified by authorities as the patriarch of a clan that has controlled drug trafficking in the area for four decades.

The crackdown is part of ‘Operation Tsunami-Galba,’ a joint effort between the National Police and Customs Surveillance. The operation targeted the residences of clan members following previous raids on ‘bunker houses’ used for 24-hour drug sales. Approximately 200 agents participated in the raids, which included 14 searches of residential properties near Teix Street. Several of the detainees include Maya’s wife and other family members.
