Drug trafficking crackdown in Mallorca
Overview
Authorities in Mallorca conducted a large-scale anti-drug operation known as ‘Operation Tsunami-Galba’ in the Soledat neighborhood of Palma. The crackdown involved approximately 200 agents from the National Police and Customs Surveillance, targeting residential properties used for drug sales.
The operation resulted in the arrest of at least twelve individuals, including the 65-year-old patriarch of a drug clan, Pablo Campos Maya, who has reportedly controlled local trafficking for forty years. Several of Maya’s family members, including his wife, were also among those detained.
