Malta police arrest three in separate drug seizures
Police in Malta have arrested three individuals following two separate drug-related operations in St Paul’s Bay and Marsa.
In the first incident, officers stopped a motorcyclist in St Paul’s Bay for negligent driving. A subsequent search of the individual's residence in Żebbuġ uncovered approximately 40 sachets of suspected cocaine, ketamine, MDMA, and ecstasy, along with scales and other suspected trafficking equipment. The 28-year-old Colombian man involved was found to be residing in Malta irregularly.
The second operation occurred in Marsa, where officers intercepted a vehicle containing a 37-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed 56 sachets of suspected heroin, cocaine, and synthetic cannabis, as well as cash. A further search of the man's residence in Qormi reportedly yielded additional suspected drugs and items linked to trafficking.
