Malta hosts rehearsals for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026

Rehearsals for the 24th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest are underway at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre (MFCC) in Ta’ Qali. Sixteen participating countries are currently conducting individual rehearsal sessions to fine-tune their staging, choreography, and technical requirements ahead of the live final scheduled for Saturday, 24 October.

Delegations from several nations, including Malta, Italy, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Ireland, Albania, Georgia, and Spain, have already completed their first individual rehearsals. The process involves two sessions per artist: a 30-minute initial rehearsal to adjust staging and camera work, followed by a 20-minute second session to finalize details before dress rehearsals.

Notable participants include Poland’s Wiktor Sas, performing “Gravity,” and Georgia’s Davit Lomidze, performing “Sun on the Rooftops.” The contest features a diverse range of musical styles, from ballads to pop, as young performers prepare to compete on the international stage.
