Maltepe, Istanbul hosts free children's play promoting recycling

The Maltepe Municipality in Istanbul organized a free performance of the children’s play “Çöp ve Hazine” as part of its Summer Children’s Theatres series.

The play was staged outdoors at Işıltı Sokak Park in the Fındıklı neighbourhood, where families and children watched. The interactive show used colorful characters and a story about waste turned into treasure to teach environmental stewardship and the importance of recycling.

Children were occasionally invited to join the performance, and the event concluded with applause, highlighting community engagement with arts and environmental education.
