Osmangazi Municipality brings reading project to Yeniceabat

Osmangazi Municipality is continuing its "Osmangazi Okuyor" (Osmangazi is Reading) project, which aims to strengthen children's connection with books and spread reading culture from urban centers to rural neighborhoods. The project's latest stop was the Yeniceabat neighborhood in Bursa.

During the event, instructor Murat Şahin provided information to children regarding the history of libraries, the importance of reading habits for individual development, and methods of accessing information. As part of the program, students were presented with books containing stories written by children themselves during the previously held "Little Authors Workshop," encouraging them to view writing as a creative possibility.

Selim Yatgı, the headman of Yeniceabat, expressed appreciation for the mobile library services and the municipality's efforts to support education. The mobile library and the "Osmangazi Okuyor" project are scheduled to continue visiting various locations throughout the summer.
