Argentina rolls out school, housing and road infrastructure projects
Municipalities across Argentina are delivering a range of public‑works projects. In Comodoro Rivadavia, the city handed over a new two‑bedroom social‑housing unit in the Don Bosco neighbourhood to a family with two disabled parents and four children, with officials Ángel Rivas and Julieta Miranda attending the ceremony.
Provincial authorities are upgrading education facilities: Governor Claudio Poggi signed a contract to build a perimeter fence at School No 69 ‘Maestra Olga Ester Sarden’ and highlighted the province’s drive to make the three‑year‑old classroom universal by 2028, targeting full enrollment. In Santa Fe, four new classrooms were added in the 9 de Julio department under the Mil Aulas programme, while the Provincial Council of Education completed heating system upgrades at CPES N° 42 and EPP N° 88, installing a high‑efficiency boiler and new radiators.
The municipality of Lincoln is constructing a renovated “Casa de la Música” with an auditorium and six classrooms, and a new nursing education block at the CIC “San José”. La Matanza district inaugurated a three‑storey building for Secondary School No 120 serving more than 800 pupils, added classrooms to Secondary School No 82 and modernised Kindergarten No 1006.
Road and utility works include the paving of 20 asphalt blocks in Quilmes Oeste’s Santos Vega, the renovation of access roads to the Puerto, and the final stage of a sewage system in the Bouchard neighbourhood linking 260 households to a new pump station. Additional projects span hydraulic works in Berazategui, fish‑processing plant refurbishment in Beruti, and various overseen constructions in San Justo and Palmira.
