Malvinas War veterans hold commemorative events in Argentina

Veterans of the Malvinas War are conducting various activities in Argentina to preserve historical memory and share their experiences with younger generations.

In Santa Rosa, naval aviator and veteran Owen Guillermo Crippa, recipient of the ‘Cruz al Heroico Valor de Combate’, held a talk at the Municipal Center of Culture. The event, organized by the Municipality of Santa Rosa and the Malvinas War Veterans Center of La Pampa, included students and community members from several surrounding towns. Crippa emphasized the importance of transmitting these experiences to the youth.

In Reconquista, retired Commodore Carlos Horacio Argente, former head of the Puerto Argentino airfield during the 1982 conflict, is scheduled to present his book, ‘Dos guerras, dos aviadores’. The book details the logistics and experiences of the Pucará aero-mobile squadron. The presentation will take place at the site of the future Malvinas Museum of Reconquista, a project currently working on collecting exhibits and formalizing administrative procedures.
