Members of the Fuerza Aérea Sur Bautismo de Fuego Veterans Association donated a flag to the Túnel Subfluvial to honor the 649 Argentine soldiers who died in the South Atlantic conflict. During the donation, veterans including Juan Lizarraga, Jorge Montenegro, and Antonio Vottero shared personal testimonies. Accompanied by his daughter, Canitrot visited several conflict locations, including Puerto Argentino, Monte Harriet, Goose Green, and Monte Kent. At the Darwin Argentine Cemetery, he visited the grave of his former comrade, Pedro Larrosa, and paid tribute to Captain Pedro Edgardo Giachino. Canitrot used the trip to reflect on the war, stating, “My flag does not kneel before anyone.”

Additional commemorative efforts include the “Misión Malvinas” trek in Neuquén, where former Army members Ángel Espinosa and Lucas Ricardo Costancio traveled between Zapala and Cutral Co in harsh weather to honor veterans. Furthermore, in San Antonio de Areco, women who served as medical professionals, such as surgical technician Silvia Barrera and María Liliana Colino, shared their experiences with students to highlight the often-overlooked role of women during the conflict.
