MAN and Mahle unveil electric truck technologies at IAA Transportation 2026 in Germany

At the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition in Hannover, Germany, MAN Truck & Bus will present its complete range of electric trucks, including the eTGL, eTGM, eTGS and eTGX models. The eTGX is highlighted for a claimed range of up to 570 kilometres on a single charge and will be supported by a new predictive cruise‑control system that uses high‑resolution 3‑D mapping to optimise energy use.

Mahle will introduce a Range Extender system for battery‑electric heavy‑duty trucks. The extender supplies up to 130 kW of auxiliary power, enabling trucks to meet daily operational needs while cutting CO₂ emissions by up to 80 % compared with conventional diesel vehicles. The company also plans to showcase a new contact‑less electric motor delivering 370 kW and high efficiency, urging regulators to recognise range‑extender technology as a support for truck electrification.
