Man arrested in Belgian investigation into deaths of father and son
Belgian authorities have arrested a man in Charleroi in connection with the deaths of 29-year-old Bryan Brigou and his 5-year-old son, Tyméo. The suspect, born in 2001, is facing charges related to drug trafficking that investigators believe may be linked to the fatalities.
The pair disappeared on June 27, 2026, after being seen purchasing drinks at a shop in Biesme. While their vehicle was discovered abandoned near a football field the day after they vanished, their bodies were not located until late August in Onhaye. The remains were found in a state of advanced decomposition along a roadside embankment.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to selling cocaine and cannabis to Bryan Brigou on the day of the disappearance. The suspect also claimed to have seen the child asleep in the car during the transaction. Due to the condition of the remains, autopsies have been unable to determine the exact cause of death for either Bryan or Tyméo.
