Bulgarian Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Dousing Wife with Gasoline in Medovec

A 48‑year‑old Bulgarian man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly poured gasoline on his 48‑year‑old wife and set her on fire during a domestic dispute in the village of Medovec, Varna Province. The incident occurred after the husband consumed a large amount of alcohol. The victim suffered second‑ and third‑degree burns over roughly 40 % of her body and was placed on intensive care in the Military Hospital in Varna, where doctors say her life is in danger.
